Meet Dr. Appleton
Michael J. Appleton, DDS
After graduating from Slidell High School Dr. Appleton attended Louisiana State University and University of New Orleans where he began his undergraduate course work. He then attended Louisiana State University School of Dentistry where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 1998.
While at LSU School of Dentistry Dr. Appleton received the following education honors:
• C. Edmund Kells Dental Honor Society
• Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society
• Louisiana State University School of Dentistry General Dentistry Award 1998
Upon completing his dental education Dr. Appleton opened his private practice in 1998 in Slidell.
Dr. Appleton regularly attends advanced dental continuing education courses and maintains memberships in the following dental organizations:
• American Dental Association
• Louisiana Dental Association
• New Orleans Dental Association
• Academy of General Dentistry
• Lake Pontchartrain Study Club
Dr. Appleton participates in the National Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped Donated Dental Services Program in effort to give back to his community.
Dr. Appleton is married to Michelle and they have two children, Hunter and Mason. Away from the office Dr. Appleton enjoys spending time with his family, boating, golfing and working out to stay fit.
